Todd and I want to thank everyone for congratulating us on our engagement!!!
Whenever someone ask us how Todd proposed, we both would always give the "oh my god, what a crazy story" response!
On Valentine's Day, Todd surprised me a gift to celebrate both Valentine's day AND 1 year and 6 months anniversary but he wouldn't tell me what it was, all I know was that it'll be a "dinner" and it'll be during our mini-vacation to SOBE, FLA on the weekend of April 20th... Todd drove us to the waterfront and guided me to this sailboat and I was like, OH MY GOSH, we're going on a sailboat!!! That was the surprise! I was so excited to go on the sailboat, it was so romantic. The Captain and his wife was so nice, we had some wine and an appetizer. The weather was PERFECT. About 2 hours of sailing out to the ocean, we anchored at this spot where we can see the city of Miami.. the sunset was setting and we were sitting there, chatting while the Captain's wife was making dinner (salmon, snow peas, sweet potatoes). As soon as the wife placed our dinner, Todd was starting to feel pain in his stomach/kidney area... then it got worse, within a minute.. his face started to get pale, I was so worried. The Captain and his wife called the police and the police actually came to us in his boat. We had to move Todd to the police boat so that we can bring him to the ambulance. It was crazy. The police boat was actually VERY fast!!!!! The ambulance came and took us to the hospital. In results, Todd had a kidney stone, poor baby. The next day, Todd suggested that we should take pictures at the same location where we took our FIRST picture together in Miami, I thought that was a great idea because we are in a LONG due for new pictures!!! So we went and he wanted to have a video of us together so he could explain his friends/family back home on the crazy incident with the police boat, ambulance, and kidney stone... in the video, as he was explaining the incident, he said "what was supposed to happen on the boat was.... *got down on his knee*... and he proposed!!! Of course, I said yes!!!! ♥ He explained that the originally plan was for him to propose on the boat after the sun set... I HAD NO IDEA!
ILY TODD.
